After reading "wired family," I know for a fact my family does not resemble the families that were mentioned. But we are not always together. My relatives are exactly the same way as my family. When my mom and dad come home from work, my mom makes dinner. Then when food is ready we all grab our food and go to where we want to eat. My mom and dad eat together at the dinner table and my two sisters and I go to the basement to eat. I haven't sat at the dinner table and ate my dinner there in a while. But we always eat together on holidays and special occasions. One of the families mentioned in the article were sitting on the couch together but not talking. My family is not like that. We do not even sit on the couch together as a whole family. My parents are always upstairs in the hearth room watching their Arabic shows. Mary, Danielle, and I always go to the basement to watch t.v. And my dog, she just goes wherever there is food (ha ha, so cute), but she is usually laying on the couch with my mom and dad while they watch t.v.. At night, I usually go upstairs and hang with my mom when my dad goes to their room to watch t.v. My mom and I always talk. No doubt about that. Also, the family had some sort of electronic device in their hands. Lately, I always have my iPod touch and iPhone with my at all times. I am always using the Internet on them. I am now starting to get lazy to go to the desktop computer.
Don't get me wrong, my family is very close. We always joke with each other and there are plenty of laughs in my house.
