hole in my life Pg. 1-71

I just started reading hole in my life, finally I started a new book! I actually like it. Anyways, here it goes...

The story first begins by describing Jake Gantos's life while in prison at the age of twenty-one. In his prisoner photograph, he said that he saw nothing but a mask that he was hiding behind. The way he appeared was not how he recalled to look like. His hair was parted down the middle and he grew a beard so he can look older and tougher. Because he was stressed and from the prison diet, he had acne on his face that was uncontrollable. He claims he was overmatched. In the prison, he knew how to stay out of trouble because he knew how to blend in well and to not be noticed by the other men. The other men he called "skulls," we looking for ways to put pain on others...which he did not understand why. They were all in the same place living in constant misery. It was hard for them to try and feel free because no one respected one another, he said that the men found cruel ways to make each day a walk through a tunnel of fear for others. At night, he always feared violence would come to him when he did not know. The thought of violence made him feel weak and small. He saw the results of violence every day because he worked as an X-ray technician. But he was not raised around violence, he was not prepared for it.
Before he got himself into jail, he was a nineteen year old still in high school, but not living at home. He had all the freedom he wanted. He had enough money and a good car. During his junior year, his parents moved form Florida to Puerto Rico, which makes that the ninth move. His dad always switched jobs, so moving was normal for them. Jack saw it as a big party. He could not go to the public schools since he did not speak Spanish and his parents did not have the money for private school. They decided it would be best if he just goes to work.
He started to think about school again, so he asked his parents if he can move back to Florida and finish his high school at his old school. They arranged for him to stay with the Bacon family. The Bacon family were desperate for extra cash. But after all his partying, drinking, and drug problem, they asked him to leave their house. He spent the night sleeping in his car, he had no where to go. He then decided to stay at The King's Court hotel, it was not in the greatest condition, but he took it. After the Bacon family kicked him out, he started to drink less and began reading and writing more. But after his psychology teacher decided to leave because she was pregnant, his grades dropped because he was bored.
Now, he had moved back with his parents in St. Croix. He worked in construction with his dad, again...even though he was not any good at it. Now his life was going down hill, he was into drinking and doing drugs again. He was still in desperate need of money too. Then this man named Rik asked him if he could take a boat filled with drugs from St. Croix to New York for ten thousand dollars. He thought about the risks of doing that, but all he could think about was the money. He agreed. From there, everything went wrong for him.
