The Kite Runner Pg. 345-371

 This post is not going to be very long, since it is the end of the book, and not that much has happened.

  Sohrab was very upset to hear that it would be hard for Amir to take him to America. What hurt him the most was that Amir promised him that he would go to America, but the promise was broken. But Soraya called and told Amir good news that she found a lawyer and that Amir and Sohrab would be able to come to America. Amir was calling for Sohrab, but he did not respond. He went into the bathroom and saw blood everywhere. Sohrab was laying in the bathtub with his wrists cut. He used a razor. Amir was screaming, begging for him to be okay.
  They would not let Amir in to see him at the hospital because he was in bad condition. When he was able to see him, Sohrab would not speak to him. Just turned the other way. But when he did talk, all he would say is that he is tired, tired of everything. Sohrab wanted his old life back, his mom and his dad. Amir told him that he wished he could give it all back to him, but he could not.
  Of course he ended up going to America with Amir. Nothing has changed. Sohrab never talked to Amir. When Soraya first met Sohrab, she held his hand, comforted him. He just turned away. They made many changes in their house for him, they even turned the study into a bedroom for him. Amir tried to do activities with him, like running a kite. Amir told him everything about Hassan. How he was such a great kite runner. During those moments, all Amir could think about was the past. The rude things he did to Hassan. He believed that everything that has happened to him was what he deserved. Years past, and nothing. It seemed like it was just Soraya and Amir in the house because Sohrab never talked. Amir began to forget how Sohrab's voice sounded like.The only thing he showed them was a smile. Amir took just that. A smile from Sohrab.

Well, I was kind of pleased with this book. I loved it, everything about it, except the ending. I wish that Sohrab would have interacted with Amir and Soraya. I wanted it to be a joyful ending, it really was not. Not one happy thing happened in this book. Baba, Ali, and Hassan died. Amir and Hassan never knew the truth that they were brothers, until Baba and Hassan died. Hassan and Amir never reunited.
