3-18-2011 movie post

In the movie Cody and Chris vary differently in their diction. I believe that their quality of diction depends on the way and where they were raised. If grammar and speaking skills was never an important or great quality of a person, then their diction would be low. But if someone has good grammar, speaking skills, etc., then their diction would be medium or high. For Chris, his diction seemed to be better than Cody’s. Reason being is because Chris has good speaking skills, his words flow nicely, and uses words that are above the simple level. Also, people who make conversation seem to have better word flow as they talk. That is the case for Chris. He makes plenty conversation with his mom and it sounds smooth. On the other hand, Cody does not have high quality speaking skills. He is not simple to comprehend as he talks.  Many aspects of his language skills have to do with that. While he talks, he mumbles, talks in a low voice, and uses slang words along with bad grammar. Also, he uses small, lower level words, which causes him not to use fine expressive words.  Chris seems to have medium diction, while Cody has low diction.
